The Role
The Project Officer supports the work of the Investment Coordinator-General Branch by providing project coordination and administrative support across a range of functions including stakeholder engagement, governance, reporting and business management. The role contributes to monitoring a whole-of-government catalogue of priority investment projects and supports reporting processes that inform coordination across government and assist economic development outcomes in Victoria. Working closely with the Investment Coordinator-General and broader team, the Project Officer helps coordinate workflows, prepare high-quality reports and briefings, and support governance activities for key working groups. This role is well suited to an organised and motivated individual who enjoys working collaboratively, managing competing priorities and contributing to a fast-paced environment focused on supporting major investment projects of state significance.
Main Accountabilities
• Provide high level project coordination support to the Investment Coordinator-General and broader team, including managing workflow, scheduling working groups and supporting stakeholder engagement activities.
• Provide governance support for key working groups, including coordinating papers and agendas, taking minutes and tracking follow-up actions.
• Support the management of the whole-of-government catalogue of eligible priority project investments, including obtaining updates from government facilitation teams and regulators.
• Collate reports and dashboards to support oversight of project status, approvals processes and timelines.
• Assist in drafting a range of high-quality products including project lists, dashboards, presentations, committee papers, meeting briefs and reports.
The Team
The position of Project Officer forms part of the Investment Coordinator-General Branch within the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions Group.
The Investment Coordinator-General role was introduced through Victoria's Economic Growth Statement to help drive investment and economic growth. The branch works to streamline processes, reduce red tape and improve coordination across government to support major projects of state significance. The Investment Coordinator-General acts as an escalation point to ensure agencies, regulators and statutory authorities meet required approvals deadlines and improve accountability across government.

• Demonstrated ability to analyse issues, identify solutions and contribute to effective project outcomes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to support the delivery of branch objectives.
