The Role
The Project Officer contributes to the delivery of programs and initiatives that support Victorian small businesses to start, grow and thrive. Working within the Capability and Networks team, the role supports project and program priorities across the Small Business and Employment Branch. The successful candidate will be a proactive and organised self-starter who can manage multiple priorities, conduct research and analysis, and prepare high-quality reports and briefs. The role also involves stakeholder engagement, supplier management and supporting project delivery across the branch, requiring strong communication skills and an interest in the Victorian small business environment.

The position of Project Officer forms a part of the Small Business and Employment Branch within the Economic Policy, Programs and Services Group.
The Economic Policy, Programs and Services Group supports sustainable economic development and employment growth for Victoria by providing leadership in policy design, research, analysis, project management, program delivery and evaluation. The Small Business and Employment Branch supports prospective business owners, self-employed Victorians and small and medium enterprises to thrive by delivering programs, services and information through Business Victoria and working with partners to build business capability and workforce participation.
