THE ROLE
The Project Officer in the Aboriginal Governance and Engagement Team, Aboriginal Initiatives Unit will provide administrative, logistical, secretariat and project management support to implement key aspects of Dhelk Dja; Safe our Way – Strong Cultures, Strong Peoples, Strong Families and other driven initiative that align to the core functions of the Aboriginal Governance and Engagement Team. This includes supporting the Dhelk Dja Regional Coordinators and the Dhelk Dja Action Group Chairpersons and associated governance structures including Dhelk Dja Priority Sub-Working Groups.
The Project Officer ensures the effective functioning of the Dhelk Dja stakeholder meetings including event coordination, coordination of papers, preparing communications for the meetings, managing membership lists, preparation of materials necessary for the Dhelk Dja stakeholder meetings, and shared email inbox management. Administrative functions also include processing invoices, taking minutes, preparing PowerPoint presentations, and maintaining the Aboriginal Community Initiatives Fund (CIF) monitoring and evaluation tool. Project management support is via the delivery of projects under the Dhelk Dja 10 Year Agreement.
