The Project Manager, Self-Determination leads the development of a new self-determination strategy for DEECA to follow the conclusion of the Pupangarli Marnmarnepu strategy. The successful candidate will coordinate the work of a small, part-time project team while also leading the drafting and management of the new strategy, based on a large evidence base and in response to Traditional Owner and government priorities.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the work of DEECA to support Aboriginal self-determination over coming years. The successful candidate will have experience in policy and/or strategy development, effective project management, and be focused on working in close partnership with others. They will be a hands-on policy writer as well as comfortable directing the work of others.

This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2026. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
