Lead projects that strengthen remote bushfire response in Victoria
DEECA is seeking a capable and delivery-focused Project Manager – Remote Water to support key initiatives improving remote firefighting outcomes across Eastern Victoria. In this role, you will manage and deliver government-funded projects, including remote water programs, and contribute to FFMVic’s Advanced Bushfire Management Strategy. You will develop business cases, oversee procurement and contracts, and ensure high-quality project documentation and reporting. Working with statewide teams and stakeholders, you will manage projects end-to-end—establishing governance, tracking progress and risks, and ensuring successful delivery. We are seeking a strong project manager with experience in emergency management, land management or similar fields. You bring excellent communication and organisational skills, a collaborative approach and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

This is a fixed term position available until 16 April 2028. The work location for this position is flexible within Hume Region with hybrid work arrangements available.
