Project Manager, Professional Sport Infrastructure
The Role
Reporting to the Director, Infrastructure within the Sport and Experience Economy Group, the Project Manager will play a key role in contributing to the ongoing development of the State's sports infrastructure projects.
As a member of the Strategic Infrastructure and Sport Economy Unit, the successful applicant will work within a dynamic team, liaising with a wide range of sporting and public sector stakeholders to support strategic planning, business planning, project management, and the provision of high-level advice on sporting facility matters.
The position will support the Director, Infrastructure in providing high quality written and verbal advice on the progress and outcomes of major sports infrastructure projects. The position will be responsible for working as part of the project team and with prominent stakeholders to ensure the State Government's sport and recreation policy outcomes are achieved. The position will ensure projects are delivered using appropriate governance procedures and evidenced based decision making. The Project Manager will work collaboratively with, manage, and provide leadership to staff reports.

The Team
The position of Project Manager, Professional Sport Infrastructure forms a part of the Sport and Recreation Victoria within the Sport and Experience Economy Group.
Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) is comprised of Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV), Tourism and Events (T&E) and Outdoor Recreation and Combat Sports (ORCS).
SRV aims to create greater sport and active recreation participation opportunities for all Victorians to maximise economic, social and health benefits and enhance Victoria's livability. This is achieved by supporting the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events and the Minister for Community Sport in the management of major sports facilities, administering grant programs that develop community sports infrastructure, strengthening the capacity of sport and recreation organisations, developing more active recreation and other innovative options to increase overall participation rates, reducing barriers to participation for specific population groups, supporting world-class sporting events and Victoria's high performance sport sector, and reinforcing the role that sport and active recreation plays in growing the Victorian economy, supporting jobs and building stronger communities.
About You
Use your demonstrated, advanced written communication skills through the pr eparation of cabinet submissions, ministerial briefs and other correspondence. You will confidently convey ideas and information in a clear and interesting way to the target audience, handling difficult and sensitive communications well.
Your proven project management experience in delivering large scale infrastructure projects involving complex stakeholders and large budgets, will enable you to immediately contribute towards the objectives of this branch.
