THE ROLE
The Project Manager is responsible for the management and installation of new air conditioning technology within public high rise tower dwellings across Victoria's fourteen (14) precincts including the facilitation of electrical infrastructure upgrades to handle the increased power supply required for cooling. The precincts comprise 44 high rise towers which were constructed between 1960 and 1975 and comprise 6,660 units. The towers vary between 12 and 30 storeys in height and come in a variety of plan forms. 13 towers house older persons.
The role will require an experienced candidate with proficiency in all facets of project management including coordinating procurement processes and contract management, providing advice, and building good stakeholder relationships to deliver project outcomes.
The Project Manager role involves a high degree of planning and scheduling, managing internal and external stakeholders of various scales to support delivery of the program to tight timeframes. Establishing and maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders including Divisional officers, consultants, contractors, renters, external agencies, local government, and departmental staff. A high standard of project co-ordination is required to ensure no impact delivery of other interdependent projects within the program.
