About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Victorian Child Information Sharing Division sits within Early Childhood Education group. The division leads Victoria's Child Information Sharing reforms, including the Child Information Sharing Scheme and Child Link, to promote child wellbeing and safety. The division contributes to implementation and change management activities for the early childhood system reforms, including measuring attendance of children at kindergarten to support the roll-out of the Best Start, Best Life Reforms.
About the Role
The Project Manager (Principal Project Officer) is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to support the implementation of Arrival for Victorian Kindergartens.
This is a fixed term position until 30th June 2026.

The position is part of a larger team that embeds the Victorian Government's Child Information Sharing Reforms. The position reports to the Manager, CIS Practice Improvement and will work flexibly across the Unit and in close collaboration with other divisions to deliver effective implementation of the Arrival system.

An understanding of funded kindergarten programs and the broader early childhood sector is also highly relevant.

The position will also work collaboratively across teams in the CIS Practice and Support Branch and with teams in other Branches in the Victorian Child Information Sharing Division and the broader Department to ensure work is aligned and to create a positive and productive work culture.
