The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the role
The Project Director, Strategy and Planning is responsible for leading the implementation of the Consumer Affairs and Local Government Group's strategic and system reform projects. You will provide informed advice and decisions throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the project is compliant with legislation and community expectations.
You will be proficient in project management and lead all aspects of project delivery including scheduling, budgeting, scoping, stakeholder management, procurement, governance, and risk management.
The role involves representing DGS and working proactively and collaboratively across a range of government and non-government stakeholders to achieve whole of government outcomes. Strong communication and project management skills are required in this role.
You will be a highly focused and driven person who is passionate about contributing to the delivery of government services, working within a high-performing project team to drive exceptional outcomes.
