About the Department
The Department of Education (DE) leads the delivery of education and development services to children and students both directly through Victorian Government schools and early learning centres, and indirectly through the regulation and funding of early childhood services and non-government schools.
About the Division
The Conduct and Integrity Division provides expert advice and support to Victorian government school principals and other people managers in the Department of Education on managing employee conduct and performance including child safety concerns and fraud and corruption.

About the Role
The Project Advisor role is situated in the Policy, Engagement and Integrity Performance team within the Division's Child Safety and Integrity (Policy and Operations) Branch.
The role operates within a dynamic environment that requires a capacity to exercise judgement, and the ability to proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, using influence and negotiation skills.
The purpose of this role is to help embed a culture of integrity and child safety throughout the department, underpinned by the DE Values and Child Safe Standards, through the development of engagement activities across the department's regions and central office. The role provides policy and project support in the development, review and application of key integrity, child safety and conduct policies, while identifying, engaging with and contributing to the management of stakeholder relationships. It also contributes to key strategic organisational integrity and child safety reporting and monitoring undertaken by the division, with a particular focus on reportable conduct, assists with the development of change approaches, strategies, plans and activities, and provides communication and support for divisional projects.
The Project Advisor will actively demonstrate high standards of integrity and model the VPS values and agreed DE behaviours.
