About the Department
The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Kindergarten Expansion and Funding Reform (KEFR) division works collaboratively across the department and with the sector to deliver the Best Start, Best Life reforms and oversee funding for the kindergarten sector.
The Workforce, System and Family Supports Division consists of two branches that lead on the implementation of key early childhood strategies, projects and programs that support the implementation of the Best Start, Best Life reforms:
The work of the Division is built on a strong foundation of collaboration with all relevant internal stakeholders (including staff in department Regions and Areas) and the key external stakeholders, including sector peak bodies, with whom we partner with to successfully deliver policies and programs.
About the Role
This role is an ongoing role.
The Change Management Unit is responsible for working closely with all stakeholders to support the sector to implement the Best Start, Best Life (BSBL) reforms and identify opportunities to strengthen the systems that support the engagement of families and children in early childhood services.
This includes working closely stakeholders to identify and understand change management opportunities and barriers, facilitate problem solving and progress key change management deliverables and activities to promote and support the BSBL reforms.
The role will provide critical project management and coordination support for key change management projects.

The Project Advisor works collaboratively within the team and other teams to share information and respond to key issues as they arise. The Project Advisor is a team player who is working to support delivery of key projects and build effective relationships with team and key clients and stakeholders.
