About the role:
The AOD Quality and Safety Projects team leads the design, delivery and oversight of priority safety and quality projects within the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) system. The team works in partnership with other teams and stakeholders to support consistent implementation of departmental priorities and ensure program operate safely and effectively in line with legislation, standards and expectations.
The Program Officer contributes to the monitoring and analysis of service performance, identifying emerging risks and system pressures, and supporting coordinated responses that strengthen accountability, improve service quality and drive system reform.
The role requires strong analytical capability, sound judgement and the ability to work effectively within a complex service system. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and engaging constructively with stakeholders to drive service improvement, strengthen performance accountability and support better outcomes.
