THE ROLE
The Program Officer in the Serious Offender Coordination Team (SOCT) provides administrative, secretariat and program support to assist in the effective management, delivery and coordination of Department of Families Fairness and Housing and Department of Health's (the Departments) legislative responsibilities under the Serious Offender Act 2018. The role supports service coordination for individuals subject to post-sentence orders by managing information flow between responsible agencies and facilitating access to critical support and rehabilitation services to manage the risk of reoffending. The Program Officer works collaboratively across the Departments and with delivered and funded services, to contribute to the development of Coordinated Service Plans (CSPs) and provide capacity building, education and support to relevant stakeholders.
