THE ROLE
The Program Implementation Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of replacement fire panels across the department's Specialist Disability Accommodation portfolio. Fire panels are technical equipment that play an active role in maintaining fire protection systems and support safe evacuation by operating automated doors and communicating with emergency services. To ensure operability and redundancy in safety systems, existing fire panels are being proactively replaced at their ‘end-of-life'. Delivery target is to replace the existing fire panels in approximately 320 SDA properties.
The role will require an experienced candidate with proficiency in all facets of construction project management including coordinating procurement processes and contract management, providing authoritative advice, and building strong stakeholder relationships to deliver project outcomes. The Program Implementation Manager role also involves program management including a high degree of planning and scheduling, managing consultants and external stakeholders of various scales to deliver a multi-year Program. Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including Disability Housing Victoria, Supported Independent Living operators, consultants, contractors, fire panel manufacturer, renters, external agencies, and departmental staff. A high standard of project co-ordination is required to ensure timely delivery of panel replacements, including robust procurement processes, timely and accurate communication, budget and cash flow management and reporting.
