The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Program Director, Information and Warning Systems, to deliver a critical role within Emergency Management Technology and Data.
About the Business Unit
Located in the department's Emergency Management group, Emergency Management Technology and Data (EM T&D) is responsible for national and state critical digital platforms and data to enable information, warnings and alerts to be released to the community and the emergency management sector partners.

About the Role
The Program Director will be responsible for the successful delivery of the replacement information and warning systems for the State of Victoria. The role includes planning the end-to-end program structure, development of all key delivery artefacts including a Program Management Plan, governance structures, and schedules as defined by the project delivery framework within DJCS.
In the course of achieving this purpose, the Program Director is to follow the Project Management Excellence Framework and have a very good knowledge of delivering agile programs. Key objectives are to deliver the program in accordance with agreed scope, costings, timeframes and quality. The Program Director is also responsible for the application of adequate risk & issue management strategies. Escalation of issues outside the project boundaries will need to be raised via the EM T&D executive team.

- working closely with the team to ensure PDP goals are meaningful, measurable and align with the business plan
- providing a safe and healthy working environment for all staff and actively promote a positive and respectful culture across DJCS
- managing and maintaining compliance with all governance requirements
- developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
