About the Role
The Project Advisor leads the co-design and management of student programs aligned to the Victorian Curriculum F-10 v2.0, develops offshore professional learning opportunities for teachers and school leaders, and writes eLearning module content that reflects a strong understanding of teaching and learning. Together, these programs aim to strengthen global connections and ensure Victorian students are equipped to engage meaningfully with the world. The role requires skills in program implementation, performance and contract management, data collection and analysis, and reporting on project outcomes.
Attributes
The Program Advisor supports the delivery of programs and initiatives within the Internationalising Education Unit, part of the International Education and Partnerships Division.
Strong written communication skills are essential, particularly for developing clear, engaging professional learning materials and liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders. The role also requires strong organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
A sound understanding of school operations, relevant policies, and partnership models is highly desirable.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience: A relevant tertiary qualification in Education or a related field, along with teaching experience would be desirable.

The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The International Education and Partnership Division (IEPD) provides strategic advice and sector-level support for some of the department's key functions and obligations in relation to international education, the Non-Government school sector and the use of animals in teaching (joining the division from December 2024). The division develops and maintains strategic partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders in different education sectors and levels of government and carries out regulatory functions and responsibilities under various Acts to ensure compliance in Victorian schools.
