The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Curriculum Division in the VET Unit for a fixed term position.
The VET Unit manages programs or projects relating to the delivery and assessment of VET delivered to secondary students (VDSS). This involves liaison with the VET sector, schools, industry and education sector authorities to support senior secondary providers with students undertaking VET. Core functions of the VET Unit also include the implementation and audit of school-assessed coursework, development of VCE VET examinations, and delivery of professional learning.
Role purpose
The purpose of the Program Advisor role is to support the work of the VET Unit in facilitating Vocational Education and Training (VET) within the VCE and VCE Vocational Major (VM) and the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC). The role supports the work of the VET Unit in the preparation of written communications including briefings, drafting of guidance for stakeholders, responding to phone enquiries, updating webpage information and the coordination of events and professional learning.
