What You'll Do
The Producer Programs and Events is responsible for the effective coordination and delivery of a year-round program of creative, cultural and wellbeing events at Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria. Leveraging the knowledge and insights of RBGV horticulture, science, cross cultural and learning staff and creatives and other partners, the role delivers an exceptional program for the general public to support impactful visitor engagement with RBGV sites, collections and expertise. The position will work across both our Melbourne Gardens (South Yarra) and Cranbourne Gardens, and has a requirement to work flexibly after hours and on weekends where necessary.
What You'll Bring
The successful candidate will bring a strong background in large-scale event production, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience and several years' expertise delivering major public events for diverse audiences. With a proven ability to manage complex projects from concept to completion, you'll demonstrate advanced logistics, coordination, and risk management skills, along with a sound understanding of event marketing, ticketing, and technical requirements. You'll be an organised, creative, and solutions-focused professional with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging collaboratively across sectors and delivering engaging, high-quality experiences. Your approach will be flexible and professional, with strengths in budgeting, prioritisation, and process improvement, and an appreciation for sustainability, culture, and the natural environment.
