About the Role
This newly created ongoing role is part of the evolution and maturing of category management at CFA. The Procurement Category Manager leads the strategic management and optimisation of procurement categories that directly support CFA's frontline emergency response capabilities.
You will act as the subject matter expert for your portfolio, collaborating with business units and SMEs to ensure cohesive category strategies that align with organisational priorities. You will lead category planning, provide oversight to the Senior Procurement Analyst, manage high-value sourcing activities, and drive supplier engagement and contract governance.
Using data-driven insights and market intelligence, you will deliver compliant, value-for-money procurement outcomes that strengthen operational readiness, optimise cost, and enhance commercial performance across your category.
About you
You are an experienced procurement professional with a strong track record in leading category strategies that deliver value, optimise risk, and support frontline operations. You build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating to achieve commercial outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
You bring experience leading teams or providing oversight in a procurement setting, applying advanced category management principles and data-driven insights to guide sourcing strategies and supplier performance. You are confident implementing compliant governance frameworks, tracking KPIs and reporting insights to inform executive decision-making.
Tertiary qualifications in procurement, supply chain, logistics or a related field are required, with CIPS certification desirable. You are innovative, strategic, and committed to maturing category management practices to enhance organisational capability and operational readiness.
