The Process Safety Analyst manages application of a safety case regulatory regime for a number of Victorian major hazard facilities at various stages of the regulatory process such as Safety Case preparation, Safety Case compliance assessment and oversight of ongoing safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage and lead the assessment of Safety Case submissions from major hazard facilities for compliance with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017 using the appropriate procedures from the Safety Case Assessment Framework
- Assist operators of major hazard facilities improve safety performance by exploring issues and developing practical strategies and education
- Provide guidance in areas of specific expertise to operators of major hazard facilities and other members of the safety analyst team
- Develop new or improved procedures for the regulatory duties of the major hazards team in a constructive, accountable, transparent and effective manner
About you
Your communication and organisational skills are exemplary – You have a passion for health & safety. You are a team-oriented person who enjoys leading an impact on your team and stakeholder.
You will also possess:
- 5 years of relevant experience and demonstrated ability to influence others in implementing risk assessment and risk management in complex organisations
- An understanding relevant to chemicals management, process safety and prevention of major hazard incidents
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
Qualifications
- You will have tertiary qualifications and/or significant equivalent experience
