About the Business Unit:
The Barwon Southwest Prison Precinct incorporates four custodial facilities located 6km north-west of Lara, 20km from the centre of Geelong and about 70km from Melbourne. The four custodial facilities consist of two maximum security prisons being HM Prison Barwon and Western Plains Correctional Centre and medium security prison Marngoneet Correctional Centre and Karreenga Annex. The BSW Prison Services Team provides both operational and administrative services to HMP Barwon, Marngoneet Correctional Centre and the Karreenga Annex.
About the Role:
The Prison Services Project Support Officer delivers high quality support and administrative assistance to the Barwon Southwest Prison Services team with a proactive, team orientated and attention to detail approach. This role works with all teams across the Prison Services stream, liaises with external stakeholders professionally and courteously and applies a high attention to detail to the documentation produced. Adaptable and flexible, this position is responsive to business needs and provides ad-hoc support to all areas as required, ensuring the overall integrity of the Prison Services team is maintained.
