As a prison officer, you play a crucial part in a person's rehabilitation journey and ensure the safety and security of the facility.

What's in it for you
✔ Earn up to $93,938 with a base salary of $65,373 plus penalty rates and overtime
✔ Annual salary increases, 4 weeks annual leave, 3 weeks personal leave and provisions for study leave. An additional week of leave granted once 10 Sundays worked.

✔ Complete a Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Adult Custodial), once completed, increases your base salary
✔ Regional relocation assistance of up to $10,000 for a move to regional Victoria (conditions apply, see website or speak to our recruitment team for details)
$8,000 sign-on bonus
New prison officers are now eligible for a bonus of up to $8,000. Six months after commencing, you will receive a payment of $4,000. Then, after one year's full-time employment, you will receive an additional payment of $4,000. Conditions apply, see website for details.

At present we are currently prioritising recruitment to the facilities based in the Geelong Region including Barwon Prison and Western Plains Correctional Centre (Lara). Speak to the recruitment team if you currently live over 100km from this area and are willing to consider relocation.
