Presently, the CVIS comprises the primary intelligence unit known as the Corrections Victoria Intelligence Unit (CVIU) and intelligence officers located at the twelve public and two private prison facilities in Victoria.
Hopkins Correctional Centre is a medium security prison located in Western Victoria housing up to 798 people. The prison takes a multi-disciplinary approach that promotes active participation in activities structured to assist with rehabilitation and reintegration back to community at end of sentence.
