About the role:
The Principal Technical Analyst is part of the M365 & Platforms Team, which designs and delivers application enhancements, managing production systems and managing incidents and problems using Microsoft cloud services including Microsoft 365, Power Platform and legacy platforms.
The role is responsible for the delivery of technical analysis services in relation to the Microsoft cloud services platforms and legacy platforms. This includes undertaking requirement gathering, design and configuration on several SaaS platforms, tracking and resolving technical problems, maintaining and updating software, hardware and training materials, while providing expert guidance and mentorship on the technical analysis landscape, ensuring quality and consistency on all output produced by the teams.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Principal Technical Analyst to join the Department of Health. This role involves overseeing the administration, management, and configuration of Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and legacy platforms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Entra-ID and Azure Active Directory technologies, with the ability to provide technical support and troubleshoot complex application systems, including debugging code. You will collaborate with the Solutions Planning & Design team to ensure that technical solutions align with approved application architecture.
Key responsibilities include delivering technical leadership, reviewing incidents and requests to ensure effective resolution, and offering advice on functional requirements and design implications. You will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities while working in high-pressure environments. Your actions will have a direct impact on the Department's ability to deliver quality services and support to clients.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of driving innovation and process improvements, supporting strategic thinking, and problem-solving to deliver high-quality outcomes that meet both business and citizen expectations. Adherence to government, eHealth, and ETB strategies, as well as compliance with PDM and endorsed methodologies, is essential.
