THE ROLE
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Principal Project Manager to lead and manage the delivery of public housing upgrade and refurbishment programs for Homes Victoria's Asset Management Branch. The Principal Project Manager is a key role in a collaborative team focused on delivering the annual State Budget upgrade program, including the Homes Victoria's agenda to deliver More and Better Homes for More Victorians through various state and commonwealth funded programs. The role involves the provision of professional advice and reporting, program management, procurement management and management of a team of project staff while maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. A high standard of project co-ordination is required to ensure timely delivery of projects, including robust procurement processes, budget and cash flow management, reporting and risk management.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Manage the delivery of Homes Victoria housing upgrade programs, targets and timelines using a range of innovative approaches to deliver state-wide cost-effective programmed maintenance and refurbishment works using integrated, multidisciplinary services that provide holistic client outcomes and ensure they meet statewide departmental and government objectives, budget considerations and community expectations.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of issues impacting the department's clients and investigate and lead critical projects that develop and review policies, professional standards, and operating practices to enhance service delivery, budget effectiveness, efficiency, and improved client outcomes.
- Forge strong connections across the department and with external stakeholders and collaborate on the strategic design and development of departmental objectives that impact statewide or significant localised service delivery to ensure effective, efficient, and coordinated services are provided for all clients.
