THE ROLE
The Principal Practice Advisor, Child Exploitation has a state-wide role to lead the design and embedding of practice leadership initiatives for preventing vulnerable Victorians being sexually exploited.
The role involves high level stakeholder engagement, the application of creativity and innovation, and advanced knowledge of workforce development approaches.
The position requires a motivated and flexible individual who operates in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Provide practice leadership and make authoritative decisions based on sound practice expertise and contemporary research that deliver outcomes for vulnerable children at risk of sexual exploitation, particularly regarding high risk, complex and sensitive cases.
- Provide authoritative, strategic advice and professional expertise to key internal and external stakeholders on critical policy, funding and program development.
- Take a leadership role in service development, design and implementation of new initiatives and policy.
- Monitor the departments service delivery activities, procedural compliance and operational frameworks, identify emerging issues and areas for risk for the Government, department and community and provide advice on potential strategic implications and mitigation strategies.
