About the role:
The Priority Projects team drives complex service design aligned with reform intent, with a strong focus on system integration and improving consumer experience. The team also provide flexible surge capacity to progress priority projects and emerging workstreams within the Service Design unit, and drives early implementation of reform initiatives, including establishing and supporting communities of practice and other mechanisms that enable consistent, collaborative and high quality service delivery.
The Principal Policy Adviser is a senior specialist responsible for developing high quality policy, service design products and implementation supports that shape the delivery of priority projects. The role provides authoritative advice, undertakes complex analysis, and contributes to strategic and operational policy development, working closely with internal and external partners to ensure service models are integrated, accessible and responsive to diverse community needs.
Success in the role requires strong analytical and project skills, the ability to navigate complex and unfamiliar issues, and a collaborative approach to working across multidisciplinary teams and with a broad range of sector stakeholders.
