About the role
The Principal Analyst position is designed to support informed decision-making within the Renting Taskforce through the provision of risk-based intelligence. This includes the identification and evaluation of new and emerging issues and risks in the renting market.
The Principal Analyst is a key specialist in supporting the taskforce with the delivery of analysis, deploying high-level analytic skills to identify emerging threats, opportunities, patterns and trends as well as root causes and possible approaches as they relate to intelligence in the renting sector as well as more broadly.
Key Accountabilities include:
· Plan and deliver a range of high-quality usable intelligence products that inform and guide decision making within the Renting Taskforce team.
· Deliver complex risk-based analyses and reports, providing high quality insights and innovative thinking on current and emerging trends.
· Initiate and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to promote information sharing, partnerships, and common understanding in order to contribute to the continuous improvement of intelligence products.
About you
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
Technical expertise
· Sound understanding of, and ability to apply processes associated with information management, intelligence and/or intelligence analysis, preferably in an intelligence and/or regulatory environment or similar organisational context.
· Advanced computer skills and understanding of the use of technology to support data manipulation.

Qualifications
· Relevant tertiary qualification in information analysis or intelligence in a relevant field would be an advantage (not mandatory).
