THE ROLE
The Principal Adviser plays a key role in supporting the critical operations of the Area, providing high-level strategic advice and support to the Executive Director, Senior Leadership Team and the broader Area. The Principal Adviser is required to develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with stakeholders across the department and the sector, regularly liaising with a wide range of client, community, staff and inter-governmental stakeholders with a high-level of professionalism, initiative and collaboration.
The Principal Adviser supports the delivery of outputs for the Area including the management of strategic projects, preparation of high quality written materials, implementation and management of processes to meet expected deadlines and standards, monitoring performance and compliance against plans and key performance metrics, event and communication management, and implementing change management processes. The position also undertakes research to support innovation and service improvement.
