About the facility
The Andrew Love Cancer Centre (ALCC) at Barwon Health is one of Victoria’s leading regional cancer centres, delivering world-class care to patients across Geelong and the Barwon South West since 1992. With state-of-the-art facilities and a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, ALCC provides comprehensive services including a 28-bed inpatient unit, day therapy, radiotherapy, apheresis, and a clinical trials unit. Beyond treatment, our Supportive Care Centre and survivorship programs offer holistic support for patients and their families throughout the cancer journey.
About the role
Exciting opportunity to develop your advanced cancer nursing skills and elevate your career and professional growth. Applicants with a keen interest in Cancer nursing are encouraged to apply to the Graduate Certificate of Cancer Nursing in conjunction with Melbourne University.
Applicants will have excellent communication skills and motivation to deliver outstanding patient care in a dynamic environment. Successful applicants will be supported with our well-established structured program. Graduates will develop the advanced clinical skills and knowledge required to care for complex cancer patients within cancer services. Work autonomously whilst being part of a supportive team.
The Program
· 12 months: 64 hrs per fortnight, temporary part time (commencing Jan 2026)
· Melbourne University subjects with mixed delivery of in person and online.
· Competencies and hurdles assessed onsite by Clinical Educator. Shift support offered through Clinical Support Nurses
· Rotations through inpatient and outpatient settings.
Requirements
Registered Nurse with minimum of 12 months acute nursing experience
Previous cancer nursing experience desired but not essential
