About Neurosciences:
Neurosciences provides comprehensive neurology services including stroke, epilepsy and neurodiagnostic services, along with specialist neurosurgery and clinical neuropsychology services across the Austin and Repatriation Hospitals.
Ward 6 East is a 26-bed ward and includes specialties of neurology, stroke, epilepsy and dermatology. 6 East also has a 4-bed Acute Stroke Unit. Ward 6 West is a 28-bed ward with the specialties of neurosurgery, vascular surgery and ENT. Ward 6 West also has a 4-bed Neurosurgery High Dependency Unit.
About the program and role:
An exciting opportunity currently exists for enthusiastic and highly motivated registered nurses to undertake a post graduate program in Neuroscience nursing. This program, the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing (Neuroscience), will be delivered in collaboration with our university partner, University of Tasmania.
Throughout the duration of the postgraduate program, you will be employed in one of the two neuroscience wards at Austin Health, with a planned rotation to the other neuroscience clinical area. A model of blended learning is utilised with both theoretical and clinical requirements whilst you are working in the Neuroscience clinical environment.

This comprehensive program, overseen by our dedicated education team, integrates both clinical and practical components.
