About the role
Join Barwon Health as a Registered Nurse in BAX6, working within Medicine, Specialist Medicine and Emergency Medicine. You’ll provide high-quality, evidence-based, consumer-centred care while working collaboratively with patients, families and the broader multidisciplinary team. In this role, you’ll build therapeutic relationships, contribute to individualised care planning and support positive patient outcomes within a complex, high-acuity haematology and oncology inpatient environment

About the service
The Andrew Love Cancer Centre (ALCC) at Barwon Health is one of Victoria’s leading regional cancer centres, delivering world-class care to patients across Geelong and the Barwon South West since 1992. With state-of-the-art facilities and a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, ALCC provides comprehensive services including a 28-bed inpatient unit, day therapy, radiotherapy, apheresis, and a clinical trials unit. Beyond treatment, our Supportive Care Centre and survivorship programs offer holistic support for patients and their families throughout the cancer journey.
Baxter 6 is a purpose built, state of the art, 28 bed haematology and medical oncology ward. Our patients are cared for in predominantly single rooms with views of the bay, supporting patients from across the Barwon, Southwest region. Our core services provide acute care for haematology patients, including peripheral stem cell transplants, medical oncology, radiation oncology, palliative care patients and patients on Clinical Trials. We offer exciting education and training opportunities with our affiliation to Melbourne University and our Oncology Nurse educator.
