About the role:
Victoria Police has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Portfolio/Projects Manager to lead the Strategic Engagement and Support team within the Recruitment and Deployment Division.
Located within ‘Our People', the Recruitment and Deployment Division is responsible for attracting and managing end-to-end recruitment processes for Police, Protective Services Officers (PSOs), Police Custody Officers (PCOs), Reservists and Victoria Public Servant (VPS) applicants within Victoria Police. The division also oversees the ongoing deployment, transfer, promotion of police officers and PSOs throughout the organisation.
The Division also manages and supervises projects from conception through to implementation and maintains HR policies, serving as the central point of contact for all recruitment and deployment-related matters across Victoria Police.
In this role you will oversee the ‘Talent and Attraction Programs' team, with responsibility for coordinating activities to attract and inform prospective applicants about careers in policing while also designing and implementing strategies to attract sustainable pipelines of applicants interested in Victoria Police careers. You will also be responsible for leading a small team delivering data and evidence-informed uplift to expand recruitment capacity, modernise processes in line with community expectations, and align deployment with frontline operational needs. This will include leadership and governance of a wide range of actions including transformational projects and ensuring sustainability through conversion of actions into policy.
You will work closely with a range of stakeholders in your role working closely with other members of the division, ‘Our People', Media and Corporate Communications and key external stakeholders including union representatives.
Your work will be based out of the Victoria Police Centre at Docklands.
