About the Role
The Portfolio Services Officer provides a range of advice, support, and coordination of projects that contribute to successful briefing and correspondence systems, processes and reporting across ministerial offices and the department. Reporting to the Team Leader, Portfolio Services, the Portfolio Services Officer is involved with
coordinating processes and arrangements for international ministerial travel and projects and administrative tasks that support the effective functioning of ministerial offices and the Office of the Secretary.
About the Division
The Assurance, Knowledge and Executive Services division provides expert advice and support to the department through a range of portfolio, advisory and assurance services. The division also provides support to the department's executives and ministers and the Office of the Secretary (005) and manages all Cabinet and Parliament processes.
This position is in the Ministerial and Portfolio Services (MaPS) team which coordinates the department's delivery of high quality, accurate and timely advice to our ministers and the Secretary and assists each of our ministers with the efficient functioning of their office as it relates to the department. MaPS is part of the Executive and Ministerial Services branch, which includes the Cabinet and Parliament team and the Freedom of Information team.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
This role requires previous experience in working within a dynamic environment with changing priorities while developing productive and collaborative relationships with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ability or capacity to work with Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and large datasets for reporting and data management such as identifying and correcting gaps and errors in data. Experience in a government department or agency or similar context working with briefings and correspondence administration is desirable.
