The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services.
The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the Division
The Information Management and Technology Division (IMTD) delivers secure, reliable, and integrated information and technology platforms, systems, and services that transform education environments and enable a great education for every child and young person. IMTD supports one of the largest technology networks in Victoria, servicing more than 1500 Government schools, 50,000 teachers, and 650,000 students. IMTD leads the Department's technology, digital capability, business systems, and digital transformation through cloud solutions and agile practices focused on user experience, security, and integration.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised Portfolio Officer to support the coordination and administration of ICT portfolio governance and reporting processes. In this role, you will assist with the planning and delivery of governance activities, providing secretariat support for project control boards and technology governance committees, and assist in the preparation of reports and briefing materials.
You will also play an important role in maintaining accurate data and information to support effective portfolio planning. This role will contribute to the successful delivery of technology-enabled initiatives that support outcomes across the Victorian K-12 education system.

As our ideal candidate, you will be someone with strong organisational skills, reliable, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly. You've worked in admin or coordination roles before, ideally in a public sector or ICT portfolio environment, and you know how to manage competing priorities. You're comfortable using Microsoft Office, SharePoint or Project Online. You will be a team player who enjoys helping others, keeping things on track, and being part of work that makes a real impact—especially when it supports education and technology.
