THE ROLE
Working in the Child Protection Policy and Legislation unit within the Children, Families and Safeguarding Division, this position will support a range of policy work and strategic legal policy advice on the statutory Child Protection system and reform to that system.
This will involve supporting the Child Protection Legal Policy Team with research activities, preparation of policy papers and briefs, and maintaining effective relationships across the department. You will contribute to policy advice regarding the Child Protection system and the legislation underpinning Child Protection in Victoria. This will include providing policy, strategic and legislative advice on the Child Protection system and potential reforms to the Children Youth and Families Act 2005.
The position will contribute to a unit with policy and project delivery responsibilities, requires high level written and verbal communication skills.
