Policy Officer
The Role
The Policy Officer reports to the Manager, Parliament and Cabinet in the Government and Parliamentary Services (GPS) team in the Strategy, Performance and Governance Branch within the Corporate Services Group. A Policy Officer researches, develops, and evaluates policies and plays a role in shaping policy by analysing issues, formulating recommendations, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure policies are effective and aligned with relevant goals.

The Team
The position of Policy Officer forms a part of the Strategy, Performance and Governance branch within the Corporate Services group.
The Corporate Services group consists of specialist functions including finance, investment and procurement, performance and governance, legal and legislation, people and culture, information technology and workplace services and emergency management. The Strategy, Performance and Governance Branch objective is to continuously uplift the efficiency and effectiveness of the Corporate Services Group and the department.
