Reporting to Manager Chemical and Regulated Industries Policy, the Policy Officer is part of a multidisciplinary team that provides advice to the Minister for Agriculture and senior executive officers about the regulation of agricultural and veterinary chemicals and other agricultural industries. This role will support the team to provide key advisory and leadership in the management of agricultural and veterinary chemicals policy and the development of relevant legislation across Agriculture Victoria. They will need to display a ‘can-do’ attitude, be self-driven and able to demonstrate initiative, and actively contribute to developing a culture of excellence, responsiveness and flexibility. engaged in biosecurity matters more broadly, including the development of policy and legislation relating to food safety.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street Melbourne or 475-485 Mickleham Road Attwood (flexible) with hybrid work arrangements available.
