The Policy Officer supports the development of a strategic approach to all intergovernmental water policy issues, including the Murray Darling Basin Plan and the National Water Agreement. You will be part of a team responsible for ensuring that Victoria remains ahead of emerging policy challenges, effectively represents its interests in intergovernmental negotiations, and maintains a strong connection with community concerns and expectations. You will prepare briefings and correspondence, and contribute to strategy and negotiations on intergovernmental water issues. Building good stakeholder relationships across Water and Catchments, the department and other governments is important to this role.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street Melbourne, with hybrid work arrangements available.
