The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Policy and Projects Officer, Sector Investment for a critical state budget planning and development role within Emergency Management Victoria.
About the Business Unit
Emergency Management Victoria (EMV) leads emergency management in Victoria by working with government, agencies and business to strengthen their capacity to withstand, plan for, respond to and recover from emergencies. EMV is a statutory entity and is part of the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS). DJCS, through the Secretary, employs EMV staff and provides corporate functions to EMV. EMV is jointly led by its Chief Executive and the Emergency Management Commissioner.
EMV's Reform and Investment business unit collaborates with emergency management sector partners to deliver strategic resourcing, reform and investment advice to government. The business unit works with Victoria's emergency services organisations, government departments, agencies and key stakeholders to facilitate delivery of government's reform agenda and investment priorities. The business unit develops state budget proposals, funding requests, and investment related Cabinet and committee submissions to provide strategic policy, reform, investment, funding, and resource management advice to government.
