About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available within the Curriculum and Teaching Practice Division (CTPD) for a Policy and Project Officer, who will work on an innovative portfolio focused on improving the learning and wellbeing outcomes of Victorian students by levering the appropriate and effective use of digital technologies. Reporting to the Manager of the Digital Learning Policy and Practice Unit, this is a fixed-term, full-time opportunity until 31 July 2026.
About the Division
The Curriculum and Teaching Practice Division works collaboratively across the department, with schools, and with stakeholders to co-design and implement initiatives that support schools to deliver high-quality curriculum and teaching programs. CTPD has primary responsibility for the provision of advice and implementation support to government schools to deliver the Victorian Curriculum. Drawing on contemporary research and practice evidence, CPTD's work contributes to ongoing improvements in student outcomes by flexibly responding to student needs and aspirations, as well as those of school communities.

The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services, including providing policy leadership, planning for the future of education in Victoria and leading key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
