About the Division
SSCR are leading and implementing generational reform to Victoria's senior secondary certification in response to the 2020 Review into Vocational and Applied Learning Pathways in Senior Secondary Schooling. The reforms are supporting all Victorian secondary students to access engaging curriculum where they can connect their learning to real-life and workplace experiences.
The introduction of the VCE Vocational Major (VM) and the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) in 2023 supports students to pursue high-quality and valued vocational and applied learning pathways aligned to their strengths and interests and to finish schooling with the skills and capabilities they need for success in further education, training, work, and life.
Role Purpose
The Policy Advisor will play an important role in contributing to the design, development and implementation of new and existing policies and programs that support vocational and applied learning pathways within the senior secondary education.
The successful candidate will work with colleagues in the VCAA and DE and will contribute to strategic policy projects at every stage of the policy cycle. This includes:
