Policy Advisor- Fixed Term/ Full Time
An exciting opportunity exists for a kind and curious individual who's passionate about education policy to undertake a fixed-term 12-month role to work on one of the most innovative education initiatives in Australia: the Tech Schools initiative.
The role is in an incredibly supportive and self-motivated team which oversees the policy development, communications strategy, industry engagement and network collaboration for Tech Schools, STEM Centre of Excellence (SCoE), Knox Innovation, Opportunity and Sustainability Centre (KIOSC) and 6 Science and Mathematics Specialist Centres (SMSCs).
The role requires a mix of research, policy, interpersonal and operational/project management skills - from synthesising latest education research and turning it into succinct written policy guidance to communicating guidance and best practice to Tech Schools and SMSCs. The role may also entail the drafting of urgent ministerial briefings, coordinating cabinet submissions and assisting to resolve stakeholder operational issues.
The successful candidate will also have strong collaboration and teamwork skills and enjoy problem-solving.
Candidates should submit a one-page cover letter addressing the key selection criteria and updated CV as part of their application.
