• a sophisticated communicator able to provide clear, comprehensive and concise advice on complex and technical issues, and to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
• experienced in the delivery of policy, legislative or regulatory projects?
The Policy Adviser will contribute to legislative and regulatory reform projects across a range of regulatory areas relevant to the Health Regulator. This may include:
• reforms relating to the regulation of medicines and poisons, pharmacies, pest control, radiation, workforce regulation, tobacco and e-cigarettes and other matters
• advice on legislative and regulatory reforms being progressed across the Department's portfolios
• other projects across the Regulatory Reform and Policy unit as required.
Reporting to the Manager, Legislative and Regulatory Reform Team 2, you will support a busy team of senior policy staff to liaise with technical experts, Victorian regulatory staff and national regulatory stakeholders across jurisdictions to provide strategic advice to senior management in the Department and the Minister for Health on various regulatory policy, legislative and regulatory issues across the team's areas of responsibility
