An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Economic Development and International Branch, as Policy Adviser at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
The Economic Development and International Branch provides advice to the Premier on a range of issues, including international engagement, economic development, skills and employment, investment attraction, innovation, regional development, tourism and major events, sport and recreation, and creative industries.
The role will provide analysis and advice to the Premier and senior DPC executives on the Economic Growth and Jobs, and Industry and Advanced Manufacturing portfolios in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. The work includes reviewing and assessing cabinet submissions, policy proposals, business cases and the preparation of high-quality written advice and briefings on these issues.
The Policy Adviser position requires flexibility to respond quickly to rapid change, strong policy and planning capability, and collaboration and engagement across the Victorian public service to deliver a varied work agenda.
