Role Overview
As a Platform and Application Support Engineer, you will support, maintain, and optimise VMIA enterprise platforms including Oracle Cloud Fusion (ERP, HCM, EPM, OIC) and Pega. You will manage incidents, system reliability, monitoring, administration, and continuous improvement to ensure stable and secure delivery of critical business systems. You will work with internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to resolve issues and improve platform performance.
Key Responsibilities
Incident & Application Support
Manage escalated incidents and service requests. Provide advanced support for Oracle Cloud Fusion and Pega. Ensure SLA compliance and minimise downtime. Maintain reliability of critical systems.
Platform Administration
Administer and optimise enterprise platforms. Perform monitoring and proactive risk detection. Implement preventative controls. Ensure security, compliance, and stability.
Technical Improvement
Conduct testing, deployments, and technical support. Improve incident, change, and release processes. Enhance system performance and efficiency. Support platform optimisation.
Stakeholder Engagement
Work with IT teams, project teams, and business users. Resolve issues and deliver solutions. Coordinate maintenance with minimal disruption. Support capacity planning.
Governance & Compliance
Support audits and access reviews. Maintain documentation. Ensure compliance with risk and security frameworks. Escalate risks when required.
Continuous Improvement
Stay current with emerging technologies. Improve platform resilience and capability. Contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Health, Safety & Culture
Follow safety procedures. Participate in development processes. Contribute to VMIA values and culture.

External: Vendors and managed service providers
What You Bring
Experience in application support, incident management, and system administration. Strong Oracle Cloud Fusion and/or Pega experience (desirable). Ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise systems. Experience with monitoring tools. Strong communication and stakeholder skills. Analytical and proactive mindset. Ability to manage competing priorities. Continuous improvement focus.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
5+ years in enterprise application/platform support.
Oracle Cloud/Fusion certification (desirable).
Pega CSA certification (highly desirable).
Experience in regulated/insurance environments (advantageous).
