The Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Grade 2 physiotherapist to join the paediatric Rehabilitation Team for a part time position for a fixed term (10 months, secondment replacement). The Grade 2 physiotherapist will provide physiotherapy services to children and adolescents as part of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation service at Royal Children’s Hospital.
The role sits within the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS), which is a state-wide specialist service that caters for the complex rehabilitation needs of children and adolescents and is aimed at functional maximisation. The VPRS at The Royal Children’s Hospital has rehabilitation beds located in the main hospital, and a large community based service. The caseload is varied and includes goal-based interventions for children following acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopaedic surgery, multi-trauma, spasticity management in cerebral palsy, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and other complex medical conditions.
