About the role
Barwon Health’s Physiotherapy team is seeking organised, dynamic, and flexible team players with clinical expertise across the spectrum of patients in the UHG Intensive Care Unit. You will provide evidence-based, patient-centred physiotherapy care within a multi-disciplinary setting.
In this role, you will provide leadership, teaching, and supervision to Grade 2 Physiotherapists, Rotational Grade 1 Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistants, and Undergraduate Students working in your area. Your own professional development and supervision will be supported to help you achieve your career goals.
You will deliver best-practice physiotherapy services across the busy ICU and assist with ward demand as needed. Weekend work, as part of the 7-day service roster, is a requirement of this role.

About the facility
The Acute Physiotherapy Department provides services to a wide range of clinical areas. Physiotherapy is predominantly inpatient focused with some outpatient services provided in orthopaedics, paediatrics and women's health. Our dynamic team provides inpatient physiotherapy to all wards of University Hospital Geelong. Specialties include surgical, medical, orthopaedics, neurology, paediatrics, Rapid Assessment and Planning Unit, Oncology and the Emergency Department.
The Barwon Health Physiotherapy Department is a large department with a focus on achieving optimal patient outcomes through positive teamwork, staff development and best practice.
