About the role:
We are now seeking a dynamic and flexible Physiotherapist to join our fantastic Specialised Rehabilitation Program Team in a full time, fixed term capacity.
The Specialised Rehabilitation Program (SRP) is integral to supporting the safe and timely discharge of patients from Western Health inpatient wards and ensuring that recovery of all clients is optimised.
Key responsibilities:
The Grade 2 Physiotherapist will have a key role in providing and ensuring best-practice person centred, occupation-focused patient care and excellence in patient care primarily for Musculoskeletal and Cardiorespiratory (Exercise Rehabilitation) clients.
The caseload will be split between cardiorespiratory and musculoskeletal stream with the potential for some general rehabilitation.
In the musculoskeletal stream treatment interventions may be provided through a variety of methods including individual or group-based treatment. There may be opportunities to develop skills in aquatic rehabilitation. Treatment may be provided via centre-based, telehealth and /or home and community settings.
In the cardiorespiratory (exercise rehabilitation stream) the role involves cardiorespiratory outpatient clients, including cardiac, chronic heart failure and pulmonary rehabilitation. Some general rehabilitation for clients not appropriate for the exercise rehabilitation groups will also be provided. Treatment interventions may be delivered to individuals or groups in centre-based, home or community settings. Face to face, telehealth and telephone modalities are used by the program.
