About the role:
Grade 1 Physiotherapists have opportunities for rotations across the continuum of care, through inpatients, outpatients and community settings across the Sunshine, Footscray, Williamstown, and Melton campuses. Rotations include ICU, Emergency Department Care Coordination, inpatient and outpatient Orthopaedics, Surgery, Medicine, GEM, Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Aquatic Physiotherapy, Neurological Acute and Rehabilitation services, Community Based Rehabilitation, and Inpatient Rehabilitation.
In our rotation program, you will develop skills in clinical reasoning, evidence-based treatments and therapeutic patient handling; patient education; discharge planning; leadership; and many more. Grade 1’s are very well supported through formal and informal supervision, internal PD, training and education, and are strongly supported with their Career Development planning. At Western Health, Grade 1’s also have the exciting opportunity to contribute to Research and Quality Improvement Projects and committee portfolios.
